About Me

larryzonkasimpsonizedlargecropped.pngHello world.

My name is Larry, some of you may have called me Zonka when I was in the stationed at Ellsworth AFB, SD from 1996-1999. After my four years in the service, I worked as a Defense Contractor for the US Army and US Navy for the past 8 years in Charleston South Carolina. Just recently I took a job at Camp Humphreys, South Korea which is about 60 miles south of Seoul.

I’m just a Summerville, South Carolina guy who finally got an opportunity to live outside the States for once. I blog so I can keep my friends and family up-to-date of our adventures.

I want you all to know that you can always get a hold of me by visiting here.

  1. Stationed with you at Ellsworth. I’m stationed at Nellis now. Big Bob is still in. He’s stationed in Korea.

  2. Hey larry – I just moved to Ulsan Korea to build LNG ships for Qatargas operating company.
I am also suffering from lack of football, NASCAR, the shield etc…
i am looking at buying a slingbox and installing it in my brothers house in USA. I think I can get everything that he gets on direct TV.
Any better finds from you yet?

  3. I think I found your blog via a list of charleston blogs. I live in Summerville currently. My husband is a nuke up at the weapons station.

I’m actually half korean, half “white” and this past june I flew to Korea with my mom to visit family I hadn’t seen since I was a baby.

That’s really cool that you are in Korea now. I can’t wait to read more adventure.
